MONROE, Mich. – For more than 125 years, First Merchants has demonstrated its commitment to bettering the communities it serves. The company continues that commitment and today announced it will oversee and fund the restoration of a rare antique clock in downtown Monroe.

MUNCIE, Ind. – Forbes has released its 2021 list of “America’s Best Banks,” and once again, one of the Midwest’s legacy financial institutions sits at the top of banks based in Indiana and one of the best in the nation. First Merchants Bank – Indiana’s second largest financial services holding company – is rated by Forbes as the country’s 15th best bank for 2021.

The banking center, housed at the intersection of East 38th Street and Meadows Drive, continues First Merchants’ investment in underserved communities and provides needed financial opportunities for local residents and businesses.
