U.S. equity markets slid down further last week as the spreading coronavirus outbreak heightened concerns about a disruption to global economic growth.

Global equity markets stumbled last week amid concerns of an outbreak of the coronavirus that originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan and has been found in several cases internationally, including three confirmed cases in the United States.

Fourth quarter corporate earnings season got off to a strong start last week and helped drive U.S. equities higher alongside the signing of the U.S.-China Phase One trade deal and some encouraging global economic data.
