Josh Hackenberg is a Senior Workplace Wealth Advisor at First Merchants, where he helps organizations enhance their workplace retirement programs and improve participant outcomes. With more than 16 years of experience in the retirement plan industry, he has extensive expertise supporting both qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plans. Josh is recognized for his consultative approach, industry knowledge, and ability to cultivate strong relationships with plan sponsors and participants alike. His focus on delivering strategic guidance and personalized service helps clients navigate complex retirement plan challenges with confidence.

He holds the FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and earned a BSBA in Marketing from Xavier University.

Outside the office, Josh enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with his two Great Danes, a pit bull and four cats. He also continuously seeks out the next great roller coaster at theme parks across the country

Eva joined First Merchants in 2002 as an IRA Administrative Assistant. Throughout her career within the Retirement Planning Division, Eva has earned several promotions leading to her current position as Workplace Wealth Consultant.

In 2006, she earned the CISP (Certified IRA Services Professional®) designation from The Institute of Certified Bankers, and in 2016, she earned the CRPC (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. In 2020, she received her Series 6 and Series 63 licenses. Eva is the IRA subject matter expert for First Merchants Private Wealth Advisors, keeping IRAs in compliance with IRS rules and regulations.

Eva is a member of the Institute of Certified Bankers, Indiana Bankers Association, the East Central Indiana Estate Planning Council, and an alumni of the College for Financial Planning.

Eva is a member of the Dunkirk Park and Recreation Board and the West Jay Community Center Board.

John McMahon

John brings over 25 years of experience in financial services, including 17 years in group retirement. His extensive background includes designing and reviewing retirement plans, group education and enrollment meetings, individual retirement planning and investments. John has been a registered representative with FINRA for over 10 years. John has experience working with employers and employees and enjoys helping others prepare for a financially healthy retirement.

John earned his BS from Indiana University. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with family and going to sporting events.
