You may enroll your devices in Mobile Banking using one of two methods: Device Enrollment (Mobile App/Mobile Web), and Activation Code (Text Banking). Note: You must be enrolled in Online Banking before you can use Mobile Banking.
You may enroll for both the downloadable First Merchants Mobile apps as well as the browser-based version of Mobile Banking directly from your device. You'll be asked to provide credentials and mobile telephone number during your first login.
Download our Mobile App on our website or visit the app store on your device. Make sure to download the correct app - personal users should look for the gold shield icon, while business users should look for the icon with a black shield.
Text Banking must be activated from the Mobile Banking Center within Online Banking. Click on the 'Activate Now' link for Text Banking and follow the instructions presented on the screen.
If you change your mobile number, or get a new mobile device, be sure to return to the Mobile Banking Center within Online Banking to update your mobile device profile and activate any new devices.
Also, you can temporarily disable a device from the Mobile Banking service at any time, or permanently remove it. Just log in to Online Banking and select ' Manage mobile banking settings' under the Customer Service/Administration tab..
