First Merchants to Host Career Fair

DALEVILLE, Ind. - First Merchants Bank will host a career fair Tuesday, October 22, from 3-7 p.m. The event will be held at their data center at 9301 Innovation Drive in Daleville, and on-site interviews will be conducted.

Available positions include Customer Service Agent, Banking Center Manager, Mortgage Loan Originator, Retirement Planning Officer, Network Engineer, Applications Analyst, Graphic Designer, and more.

FMB Supports Decatur Sculpture Walk

DECATUR, Ind. - First Merchants Bank in Decatur is proud to support the first Sculpture Walk, which is set to become an annual event. First Merchants donated funds to sponsor the sculpture "Escape" by artist Matt Miller. The sculpture was unveiled August 23 and will be on display at the downtown banking center until May 2013.

CNB Earns Award of Excellence from Mid-Ohio Foodbank

COLUMBUS, Ohio - We are pleased to announce that Commerce National Bank’s Operation Feed campaign earned the Award of Excellence from the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. This award is given to companies that meet two of the three following criteria:  40% growth in meals gathered over the prior year, at least 50 meals per capita, or a 25,000 meal increase over prior year.

FMB Decatur Supports Boys and Girls Club

DECATUR, Ind. – First Merchants Bank in Decatur donated $100 to the Adams County Boys and Girls Club. The bank employees celebrated Casual Friday by collecting donations from employees in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans and tennis shoes to work. The funds raised were used to purchase art supplies, games and cake mixes.

Commerce National Bank Collects School Supplies

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Commerce National Bank partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio to help provide the Littles with much needed school supplies.  On Saturday, August 11th Big Brothers Big Sisters held their annual Big/Little Summer Festival at Whetstone Park.  

The supplies collected by CNB employees went toward the needs of more than 400 students, who received the supplies needed for success in the classroom.  Supplies were collected in marked boxes throughout the bank from July 16 to July 31.

Decatur Fireworks Honors FMB for 20 Years of Support

DECATUR, Ind. - First Merchants Bank in Decatur was awarded a plaque at this year’s July 4th celebration in Downtown Decatur. The award was presented for 20 years of financial support for the Decatur fireworks display. Banking Center Manager Andrew Morehouse accepted the plaque on behalf of First Merchants Bank.

First Merchants Bank Presents Checks to Ivy Tech from Local Education Trust

WABASH, Ind.— Members of the First Merchants Bank family were on hand to present checks totaling $22,083 to Ivy Tech Community College of Wabash, Ind. from the Pauline Barker Education Trust. First Merchants Bank is the trustee for the Barker Trust Fund and is responsible for administering the trust. Tony Millspaugh, consumer lending manager; Aaron Campbell, relationship manager; and Laura Moorman, personal trust officer, assisted in presenting Ivy Tech the checks that will continue various programs the college has in place.

Decatur Banking Center Donates to Adams Wells Crisis Center

DECATUR, Ind. – First Merchants Bank collected personal hygiene items for the Adams Wells Crisis Center through the month of February. Each quarter, bank employees pick a local nonprofit agency to support. This month, employees were given the option to wear jeans and their favorite team jersey to work in exchange for a donation.

MUNCIE, Ind. – First Merchants is a major sponsor of the Rialzo III Charity Gala for Meridian Health Services at the Horizon Convention Center on May 19 at 5:30 p.m.

Rialzo is Meridian Health Services’ annual charity gala celebrating the harmony of “whole person” health. This year’s event, “Pointing to a Healthier Future,” benefits the organization’s children’s and family programs. The program features an elegant dinner, dancing, fundraiser auctions and a performance by the Grammy-award winning Pointer Sisters.
