WABASH, Ind.— Members of the First Merchants Bank family were on hand to present checks totaling $22,083 to Ivy Tech Community College of Wabash, Ind. from the Pauline Barker Education Trust. First Merchants Bank is the trustee for the Barker Trust Fund and is responsible for administering the trust. Tony Millspaugh, consumer lending manager; Aaron Campbell, relationship manager; and Laura Moorman, personal trust officer, assisted in presenting Ivy Tech the checks that will continue various programs the college has in place.
DECATUR, Ind. – First Merchants Bank collected personal hygiene items for the Adams Wells Crisis Center through the month of February. Each quarter, bank employees pick a local nonprofit agency to support. This month, employees were given the option to wear jeans and their favorite team jersey to work in exchange for a donation.

GREENWOOD, Ind. - First Merchants Charitable Foundation, Inc. is awarding its annual grants to local charitable organizations in six counties across Indiana. It will award a total of $45,000 in grants this year to various community organizations in Hendricks, Montgomery, Clinton, Johnson, Morgan and Brown counties. The foundation has issued a total of almost $1.5 million in grants since it was formed in 1998.
WABASH, Ind. - Employees of the First Merchants Wabash banking centers joined the fight against cancer on June 8 and 9 in the Wabash Relay for Life. Team First Merchants was among about 12 teams walking continually through the night to raise awareness and financial support for cancer research.
WABASH, Ind. - Brenda Mosier, Edith Johns, Sandi Kastner and Bev Holmquist were named winners of the First Merchants Bank Two Best Ball Shamble on June 12 at the Honeywell Golf Course. The team of four ladies shot a 106 to clinch their win in the “shamble” tournament, a combination of a scramble and a low-net tournament.
