MUNCIE, Ind. - You may have read information regarding the very serious security flaw in iPhones, iPods, and iPads. The flaw allows hackers to intercept any encrypted data from a user when on a Wi-Fi network and other connections. This includes e-mails, log in credential, and credit card information. This possibly affects Mac computers as well. Apple has released a patch for this flaw for iPhones, iPods, and iPads (Mac’s will be updated soon), but you should take some steps to ensure you are protected.
On the positive side, many iPhones and iPads are set to auto update.

Part of an annual tradition, a total of 150 children in nine classrooms at the Head Start of Delaware County received gifts from employees of First Merchants Corporation, First Merchants Bank, First Merchants Trust Company and First Merchants Insurance Group this year.
MUNCIE, Ind. - The First Merchants Muncie Executive and Commercial Lending Team adopted a family with three children from Bridges Community Services for Christmas this year. Team members donated money and shopped for gifts, and all presents were wrapped and gathered together by the team. Stockings were filled for the two girls and boy. A family gift basket for the bathroom and kitchen was also purchased.
WABASH, Ind. - First Merchants Wabash banking centers collected more than $200 for local youth Brenton Yarger, to help with his annual Shop With a Cop donations. This is the third year Brenton has raised money for Shop With a Cop; in the last two years, he has raised almost $5,000 to help local children have presents during the holiday season.
