Delaware County Employees Volunteer at Blood-N-Fire

MUNCIE, Ind. – First Merchants Delaware County employees volunteered at Blood-N-Fire Muncie on Friday, February 24. The event was a part of the First Merchants Serves campaign where First Merchants employees partner with various groups and organizations to give back to the community. Employees from the Muncie Commercial Banking group, Finance department, Trust Company, Daleville Data Center and Insurance Group spent the day sweeping and mopping floors, replacing ceiling tiles, painting, washing down tables and chairs, baking cookies, cleaning and organizing the kitchen, hanging clothing in the clothing store, taking down winter decorations, unloading pallets of canned goods in the food pantry and completing bathroom repairs.

Blood-N-Fire is a local non-profit organization that ministers to those in need of food, clothing and child care. Events sponsored by Blood-N-Fire include a weekly outreach meal, after-school programs, food pantry, clothing store, community Christmas store, urban gardens, neighborhood beautification, and a prom store. Blood-N-Fire also sponsors a Fall Festival and Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach programs.
