Unlike some other banks’ online business banking, the First Merchants service includes up to 25 FREE monthly Bill Pay transactions, even with our standard package. You can even schedule overnight payments using our Expedited Bill Payment option. And, if you need it, our Business Online Banking service includes the ability to request a stop payment.
Easily create transfers between internal accounts (6:45 p.m. EST cutoff). Choose a one-time transfer or set up a recurring transfer. You can make your loan payment using our Online Banking system, too, and you can pay down the principal on your loan faster, with our principal-only payment option.

First Merchants cares about the security of your accounts, and we offer multiple tools to protect you. Business Online Banking includes your choice of either our dual authorization or out of band authentication security options.
- With dual authorization, two users verify certain Online Banking transactions and changes.
- Or, choose out of band authentication and enter a code received by text message before similar requests are processed.

Streamlined, Secure Sign In
- Sign in from our website anytime using your Company ID and Login ID (case sensitive for added security).
- Our system doesn’t require you to change your password periodically, so you can choose a password you’ll remember. For security reasons, if you enter your password incorrectly too many times, you may be locked out of your account for 15 minutes. After that, you will be able to try again. If you need to reset your password, you may call our customer service line at 1.800.205.3464, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
