Phishing Text Message - ALERT To Customers

Criminals have been adding phishing phone calls and phishing text messaging to their methods of stealing your personal information. They are sending unexpected communications that state there is some sort of problem with your account. Then they instruct you to provide your personal information. This should not be trusted.

If you receive unexpected texts, e-mails or other type of unexpected communication indicating that there is an issue with your accounts or cards and the message requests that you call a number, click a link or respond with your personal information (such as a card number for verification); then, you should not respond. If you have questions regarding your First Merchants accounts, please call customer service at 800-205-3464, do not call the number supplied on the communication.
