CUSTOMER INFORMATION PRIVACY STATEMENT

At First Merchants Bank we respect your privacy and believe that protecting the security and confidentiality of your personal and financial information is the hallmark of our relationship with you. In doing so we do not share, sell or otherwise provide customer information to any unaffiliated third party in order to market that company’s products. Our Customer Information Privacy Policy serves as a standard for all of our employees for the collection, use, retention and security of individual customer information.

We do, however, provide limited information about your transactions at this bank to reputable credit reporting agencies, to certain parties in order to provide products and services that you have requested and in response to legal process. Affiliate Sharing Opt-out Notice
We may from time to time share information that we have collected about you, but only with our affiliated companies. You have the right to “opt-out” of this particular sharing and may do so by contacting your bank at the number listed below. Please specify that you are opting-out of “Affiliate Sharing” when you call.

Affiliate Marketing Opt-out Notice
In addition, you may limit First Merchants Corporation companies, such as First Merchants Insurance Services and First Merchants Trust Company, N.A. from marketing their products or services to you based on your personal information that they receive from other First Merchants Corporation companies. This information may include your income, your account history, and your credit score. You also have the right to “opt-out” of this particular sharing and may do so by contacting your bank at the number listed below. Please specify that you are opting-out of “Affiliate Marketing” when you call.

Each opt-out is a separate decision. You may exercise either opt-out individually, or both may be exercised in unison. If you choose to opt-out, your opt-out will apply until you tell us to change your decision. You may “opt-out” at any time.

Joint account consumers – Each owner of a joint account is permitted to opt-out separately. However, one joint consumer is permitted to opt-out on behalf of all of the joint consumers on an account.
