Administrative Assistant II - First Merchants Trust Company, Muncie

Job DescriptionCheck account balances on Primevest and Daily valuation. Process incoming contribution checks, participant loan payments, etc. Process requests for 401(k) loans. Produce vouchers to pay department invoices. Complete and prepare paperwork to open and close accounts. Handle a variety of administrative tasks, includes screen and distribute mail; daily photocopying, faxing and filing; schedule appointments for assigned Trust Administrators; and prepare miscellaneous reports and correspondence.

Qualifications:  Successful candidate will possess high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and up to 18 months of specialized training beyond high school in office administration, secretarial or related area, plus over three (3) through five (5) years of related secretarial, administration, banking or related experience. Must also possess ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing; ability to effectively utilize personal computer, software programs and transcription machine; ability to research and assemble data required for complex inquiries; and ability to organize and prioritize work.
